Unclaimed Property

maintains policies and procedures in accordance with the provincial
regulations of British Columbia and Quebec, with respect to
unclaimed property. As a mutual fund manager, Brandes maintains a
list of property that is defined as "unclaimed" by the
applicable provincial legislation, and we make all reasonable
efforts to locate investors who for whom we may be holding
unclaimed property. Generally, property is deemed to be
"unclaimed" if mail and cheques have been returned to us
and we have been unable to locate the investor for a three year
period or longer. If you are or have been a resident of British
